We are in search of a Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director to join our team located in Mountain View, California. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing a high volume, multi-state payroll environment utilizing UKG. This position is within a rapidly developing company and will involve managing a team of four, dealing with a large non-exempt employee population.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee and manage a team of 4 in the payroll department
  • Handle a high volume, multi-state payroll environment using ADP Workforce Now
  • Manage payroll for a large non-exempt employee population
  • Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of processing customer credit applications
  • Maintain accurate customer credit records
  • Effectively handle additions and terminations each bi-weekly pay period
  • Manage a workforce of over 1000 employees across multiple states
  • Handle complex commissions
  • Apply effective payroll management strategies

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a payroll supervisory or managerial role required
  • Proficiency in using UKG is highly desired
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-state payroll
  • Proven ability to compute and manage commissions
  • Previous experience handling payroll for over 700 employees
  • Staff Management experience

  • Oversee payroll reporting and deduction administration, including retirement plans, insurance-related withholdings, garnishments, and other employee or employer payroll obligations
  • Stay current on federal, state, and wage-related regulations, maintain compliance within Workday timekeeping, and support successful internal, external, and union-related audits
