Clough, as part of the Integrate Alliance, is delivering the engineering, procurement and construction for the Woodman Point Water Treatment Facility Upgrade - a significant sustainable infrastructure project for the Perth community, reducing waste and emissions. We are seeking a Payroll Specialist, to support the Woodman Point Project in Perth. This is a corporate role based in our North Sydney office, responsible for the day-to-day Payroll operations across the project, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing via the outsourced Payroll provider. This role is also responsible for maintaining a strong, collaborative relationship across all stakeholders and maintaining stability of the delivery of the payroll function.
Job Responsibility:
Processing of Payroll for all entities including, but not limited to, regular and out of cycle pay runs, onboarding and terminations, remuneration reviews, changes of employment conditions, for salaried and/or wages employees
Identifying and implementing, where applicable, process improvements and creating efficiencies across payroll processes, systems, and interactions with other functions, with the support of the Payroll Manager
Maintaining strong, collaborative working relationships with the outsourced Payroll provider to provide stability in the Payroll BAU processes
Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external
Providing support in the implementation and deployment of relevant solutions related to legislative changes (e.g. superannuation), business processes (e.g. acquisitions), enterprise agreements (e.g. new Project) and Clough / Webuild alignment activities
Ensure compliance in all Payroll aspects, with the guidance and support of the Payroll Manager, including reporting requirements
Ad hoc payroll activities such as personnel file maintenance
Requirements:
5+ years' relevant experience in Payroll, preferably in a similar industry
Proven experience in business partnering with projects
Knowledge of key HR processes within structured contexts
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organisational skills
Advanced use of MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
Experience in industrial relations including award and enterprise agreement interpretation, employment contracts, and wage compliance
Ability to read, interpret and apply policies and procedures to people-related scenarios
