A well-established company is hiring a Payroll Specialist to manage full-cycle payroll operations, compliance, and reporting. This role is ideal for experienced payroll professionals who have a strong background in multi-state payroll, compliance, and payroll systems management. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, and supporting payroll-related reporting and audits. This is a highly detail-oriented role that requires strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex payroll processes.
Job Responsibility:
Process full-cycle payroll for multi-department or multi-state workforce
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Manage payroll systems, reporting, and data integrity
Reconcile payroll accounts, taxes, and deductions
Prepare and review payroll reports, audits, and filings
Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
Partner with HR and accounting teams on payroll-related initiatives
Support process improvements and system enhancements
Requirements:
3–6 years of experience in payroll processing or payroll management
Strong knowledge of California payroll laws and compliance requirements
Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms
Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities
High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
CPP certification or equivalent experience preferred
