Our client is seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist, to ensure the precision of their payroll services across Australia and New Zealand.
Job Responsibility
Autonomously manage end-to-end payroll functions across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for weekly and monthly cycles
Accurately interpret Industrial Awards/Agreements and relevant legislation
Skilfully process all end-of-pay and end-of-month requirements, including general ledger reporting, reconciliations, payroll tax submission, and superannuation clearing house management
Ensure compliance with Australia and New Zealand legislative and statutory obligations through precise reporting and documentation
Warmly resolve payroll-related queries from across the organisation
Support the Financial Controller with payroll-related projects and local statutory reporting
Requirements
At least five years’ experience in a similar role within a multi-faceted business, adept at handling high-volume payroll tasks
Demonstrated excellent understanding of ATO legislation, industrial relations, Award interpretation, and payroll system architectural design
Strong analytical and numeracy skills, coupled with careful attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Proven experience with payroll systems like Payroll Metrics and Kronos is highly desirable
Possess full working rights in Australia
