We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, a high level of confidentiality, and experience managing payroll systems.
Job Responsibility:
Process bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for all employees
Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and compensation changes
Ensure compliance with applicable wage and hour laws and payroll tax regulations
Calculate and process bonuses, commissions, and deductions (benefits, garnishments, etc.)
Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and deductions
Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure accurate data flow
Assist with audits and year-end reporting (W-2s, 1099s)
Requirements:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field preferred
2+ years of payroll processing experience
Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar systems)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
