Job Responsibility:
Support the Payroll Manager in coordinating and processing payroll in a high-volume environment
Ensure accurate, timely payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Maintain payroll system integrity by reviewing data, identifying discrepancies, and completing reconciliations
Process employee leave accruals and ensure proper handling of vacation, sick, and personal time
Perform system updates including wage adjustments and payroll maintenance tasks
Generate payroll reports and assist with audits, including W-2 preparation and recordkeeping
Review and process wage garnishments while ensuring compliance with company policies
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or related field preferred
3–5 years of experience in payroll or HR, with hands-on payroll processing required
Experience with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, or similar platforms strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of payroll processes, including payroll taxes and applicable labor laws (California experience preferred)
Solid data entry and basic accounting skills, including experience with journal entries and reconciliations
High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
