Job Description:

We are looking for a meticulous and reliable Payroll Specialist to join our team in Dover, New Hampshire. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the seamless processing of weekly, multistate payroll for both hourly and salaried employees. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the accuracy and compliance of payroll operations in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Job Responsibility:

Process weekly payroll for employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information and wage adjustments
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely and detail-focused manner
Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary payroll documentation and reports
Collaborate with the Payroll Specialist and other departments to improve payroll systems and workflows
Generate detailed reports to support organizational decision-making and compliance tracking
Stay informed about changes in wage and hour laws to ensure payroll processes meet regulatory requirements
Utilize accounting software systems, such as Sage 100, to manage payroll operations effectively

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience, preferably in a multistate environment
Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, including federal, state, and local regulations
Proficiency in using payroll systems such as Paycom, Paylocity, or similar platforms
Experience with accounting software systems, including Sage 100
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies with a high degree of accuracy
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams
Familiarity with payroll reporting and audit preparation processes
