Job Description

At XBOW we’re looking for a detail-obsessed Payroll & Commission Specialist to own end-to-end payroll and commission operations across multiple countries. This role is critical to ensuring employees and sales teams are paid accurately, compliantly, and on time, leveraging Remote, Rippling, and Spiff. You’ll partner closely with Finance, HR, Sales Operations, and external vendors to deliver a smooth, scalable payroll and commission experience for a growing global workforce.

Job Responsibility

  • Process end-to-end payroll across multiple countries using Remote and Rippling
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
  • Manage payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, and benefits deductions
  • Coordinate with external payroll providers and local authorities as needed
  • Reconcile payroll reports, general ledger entries, and payroll-related accruals
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Calculate, validate, and process commission payments accurately and on schedule
  • Partner with Sales Ops and Finance to review commission plans, rules, and payouts
  • Audit commission calculations and resolve disputes or discrepancies
  • Ensure commission data flows accurately into payroll systems
  • Maintain payroll and commission documentation, controls, and audit trails
  • Support internal and external audits related to payroll and commissions
  • Prepare recurring and ad-hoc payroll and commission reports for Finance and leadership
  • Identify process improvements and automation opportunities across payroll and commission workflows

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in global payroll, commission processing, or a similar role
  • Hands-on experience with Remote, Rippling, and Spiff
  • Strong knowledge of multi-country payroll compliance and statutory requirements
  • Experience reconciling payroll and commission data with accounting systems
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines across time zones
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally in a remote environment

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting payroll in EMEA, APAC, and/or LATAM regions
  • Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Intacct, QuickBooks)
  • Experience in high-growth or SaaS environments
  • Payroll or finance certifications (e.g., CPP, FPC, or local equivalents)
