Calling all Payroll Specialists! We have an exciting opportunity located in Cambridge through Randstad Finance & Accounting. Randstad has partnered with a leading engineering organization, looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team. Job Responsibility:

  • Processing full-cycle payroll for a diverse workforce, including complex unionized and non-unionized employee groups
  • Interpreting and applying collective bargaining agreements to ensure accurate wage scales, premiums, and seniority-based pay
  • Managing the accurate collection and timely remittance of union dues, health and welfare reports, and pension contributions
  • Executing payroll within ADP Workforce Now (WFN), ensuring all data entry for new hires, terminations, and salary changes is precise
  • Responding to employee and union representative inquiries regarding pay, benefits, and deductions in a professional manner

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist, specifically within the Engineering or Construction industries
  • Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and a strong grasp of unionized payroll complexities
  • Thorough knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, employment standards, and WSIB compliance
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully onsite office environment
