We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client in Dublin, Ohio, on a long-term contract basis. This role requires expertise in managing payroll operations for a multi-state workforce, utilizing Workday Payroll systems, and handling employee populations exceeding 500. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on day-to-day payroll tasks while also contributing to system implementation efforts.
Job Responsibility:
Process and manage payroll for a multi-state workforce using Workday systems
Ensure accurate and timely payroll execution for employee populations exceeding 500
Collaborate with internal teams to support the implementation of Workday Payroll systems
Utilize advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables and formulas, to analyze payroll data
Address payroll discrepancies and resolve employee inquiries promptly
Maintain compliance with state and federal payroll regulations
Provide insights and support for SmartCompliance processes
Generate detailed payroll reports and support audit requirements
Adapt to changing priorities and assist with payroll integrations as needed
Requirements:
Proven experience with full-cycle payroll processing, ideally 2-5 years
Expertise in multi-state payroll operations
Proficiency in Workday Payroll systems
Experience managing payroll for employee populations exceeding 500
Familiarity with advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables and complex formulas
Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and regulations
Ability to handle payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries effectively
Nice to have:
Nice-to-have experience with SmartCompliance processes
