We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the Healthcare/NHS industry located in Madera, California, United States. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be handling various payroll and accounts payable tasks, ensuring the accuracy of employee records, and addressing any inquiries related to pay and benefits.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accurate and efficient processing of bi-weekly payroll for all employees
  • Maintenance and updating of employee records, such as tax information, deductions, and leave balances
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and handling employee inquiries about pay and benefits
  • Assisting with accounts payable tasks, including processing invoices and managing vendor relationships
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including the timely filing of payroll taxes
  • Collaborating with HR and management teams for accurate reporting and documentation of employee information
  • Keeping payroll records and assisting with internal and external audits
  • Utilizing 'ADP - Payroll' and 'Accounts Payable (AP)' skills to manage payroll and accounting tasks
  • Processing bi-weekly payroll using 'Payroll Functions' and 'Payroll' skills

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll position, preferably within the Healthcare/NHS sector
  • Proficient in using ADP for payroll management
  • Demonstrable experience in performing payroll functions effectively
  • Proficient in processing bi-weekly payroll
  • Strong knowledge and experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Ability to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations
  • Proficient in using payroll software and other related systems
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll information
  • Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in Office Suite, particularly Excel for payroll data management
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
  • Possession of a Payroll Certification would be advantageous
