Job Description:

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join a Manufacturing team located in Mississauga. Position: Payroll Specialist Location: Mississauga Industry: Manufacturing Type: 6 months contract with the potential to extend.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the complete payroll cycle for employees across Canada, accurately processing both weekly and bi-weekly pay runs in adherence to all provincial and federal regulations
  • Process and execute all administrative tasks within the ADP Workforce Now (WFN) platform
  • Administer all employee benefits, including accurate calculation, deduction, and reconciliation of health, dental, vision, and retirement plans, ensuring proper integration with payroll
  • Ensure full compliance by managing and submitting all government remittances, preparing year-end reporting (T4s, RL-1s), and maintaining meticulous payroll records and documentation
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay and basic benefits, providing courteous and timely resolution
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department on an as-needed basis, assisting with functions such as new hire onboarding and general record management
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion when handling all sensitive employee data and payroll information
  • May require assistance with HR related tasks, such as onboarding and recruitment as needed

Requirements:

  • PCP or PLP designation preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience processing payroll for Canadian employees is required
  • Multiprovince payroll processing experience is required
  • Experience with ADP WFN is required
  • Experience with employee benefits is required
  • Ability to work on-site in Mississauga is required
