We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join a family-first, growth-focused organization offering a supportive culture and excellent benefits. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll for a large, multi-state workforce in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Job Responsibility:
Manage full-cycle payroll processing for 1,000+ employees across biweekly and weekly pay schedules
Perform payroll entry, review timesheets, process payroll adjustments, manage benefit changes, and settle payroll accurately
Collaborate with managers, HR, and benefits teams to ensure data integrity and positive employee experience
Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
Pull and prepare payroll reports for various departments
Serve as backup to Payroll Analyst and provide an additional review for accuracy
Initiate and process garnishments in Workday

Handle payroll inputs/adjustments, working closely with department managers
Submit invoices and reports to accounting
limited involvement in payroll accounting
Ensure compliance for salaried and hourly payroll
Maintain working knowledge of payroll taxes

Monitor and update payroll data within Workday
Requirements:
2–3+ years of payroll experience in a multi-state environment
Experience in full-cycle payroll processing
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errors
Customer service orientation
demonstrated ability to respond professionally to employee questions
Proficiency with Excel
Ability to work collaboratively within HR and benefits teams
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours after initial training period
High degree of integrity and confidentiality regarding payroll and employee information
Nice to have:
Preferred: Experience with Workday or other large ERP payroll systems
