We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client in Vancouver, Washington. This is a long-term contract position supporting payroll operations across multiple locations and employee groups, including union and non-union environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll systems, particularly Dayforce, and the ability to handle complex payroll processes with accuracy and confidentiality.
Job Responsibility:
Process payroll from start to finish for approximately 250 employees across various locations and departments
Manage payroll for both union and non-union employees, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements
Administer payroll for employees in factories and distribution centers, maintaining accuracy and timeliness
Utilize Dayforce software to perform payroll data audits, reporting, and troubleshooting
Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll compliance issues and escalate concerns when necessary
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, providing timely responses to employee inquiries
Ensure all payroll activities are conducted with strict confidentiality and adherence to company policies
Support payroll operations for employees across multiple locations, including U.S. and Canadian payroll
Provide short-term coverage for established payroll processes with minimal supervision
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing
Proficiency in Dayforce payroll software is required
Prior experience managing payroll for both U.S. and Canadian employees
Familiarity with union environments and collective bargaining agreements
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle payroll across multiple locations
Capable of working independently in a remote setting while maintaining accuracy
Proven ability to manage payroll for organizations with 101–500 employees
Experience with multi-state payroll operations
