We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role is a long-term contract opportunity, focusing on managing payroll operations for a diverse group of employees. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and possess a strong background in payroll processing, compliance, and employee management.
Job Responsibility:
Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 120 employees, including salaried staff, hourly workers, and 1099 contractors
Utilize Paycom software to manage payroll functions and ensure accurate timekeeping
Handle garnishments, onboarding of new hires, and offboarding of departing employees
Prepare and submit payroll tax documents while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards
Maintain detailed and accurate employee payroll records, addressing inquiries with professionalism
Reconcile timekeeping data to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Provide payroll support and resolve issues in both English and Spanish
Ensure compliance with all payroll-related laws and regulations
Collaborate with other departments to improve payroll processes and workflows
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in processing payroll for salaried, hourly, and contract employees
Proficiency in Paycom payroll software and timekeeping systems
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, garnishments, and compliance requirements
Experience with onboarding and offboarding processes
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently
Familiarity with payroll tax filing and reporting procedures
