We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to support payroll processing for our client in Thousand Oaks, California. This contract position focuses on ensuring the accurate and timely management of payroll functions for a large number of employees. Job Responsibility:
Process biweekly payroll for all hourly staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies
Utilize payroll system to manage payroll operations and maintain employee records
Handle payroll for over 500 employees, adhering to relevant regulations and procedures
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries
Generate and review payroll reports to identify and correct errors promptly
Ensure compliance with applicable tax and labor laws in all payroll activities
Conduct audits to verify payroll data and detect inconsistencies
Manage employee deductions, benefits, and adjustments within the payroll system
Provide support during payroll system updates or transitions as needed
Deliver excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll-related questions
Requirements:
Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing for large organizations
Expertise in ADP Workforce Now and payroll software
Familiarity with handling payroll for over 500 employees
Strong knowledge of tax regulations, labor laws, and compliance standards
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Effective communication skills to address payroll inquiries and issues
