We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Suwanee, Georgia. In this role, you will manage payroll operations for union and non-union employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to payroll system improvements and collaborate across departments.
Job Responsibility:
Process payroll for union and non-union employees, ensuring compliance with contractual guidelines and payment accuracy
Assist with union payroll negotiations and implement pay adjustments based on contract agreements
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, delays, and long-standing issues promptly
Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation of union payroll and contract terms
Analyze payroll data to validate accuracy, reconcile discrepancies, and generate detailed financial reports
Support the evaluation, testing, and implementation of new payroll systems to enhance operational efficiency
Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and union representatives to ensure seamless payroll operations
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations by staying current with compliance standards
Optimize payroll workflows and reporting processes to support organizational goals
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, preferably with union environments and large employee populations
Proficiency in full-cycle payroll processing and multi-state payroll operations
Experience with ADP Workforce Now and familiarity with other payroll platforms such as Dayforce, Kronos, or Workday
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to resolve payroll discrepancies and delays
Advanced Excel skills and expertise in generating financial reports
Knowledge of union contract review, negotiation, and payroll implementation processes
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while supporting system upgrades and process improvements
Excellent problem-solving and adaptability skills to thrive in a dynamic work environment
