Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Eugene, Oregon. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to manage high-volume payroll operations in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. If you thrive in handling multi-state payroll and have a strong background in payroll systems, this role is ideal for you.

Job Responsibility:

Process semi-monthly payroll for up to 1,000 employees within a team of four, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
utilize payroll software and timekeeping systems to manage payroll operations efficiently
handle payroll for both salaried and hourly employees across multiple states
collaborate with the HR team for new employee data entry and ensure final checks are processed accurately
maintain compliance with payroll regulations across various states
apply advanced Excel skills to analyze payroll data and generate reports
work effectively within a team environment to meet deadlines and resolve payroll-related issues
ensure proper handling of payroll documentation and record-keeping
support multi-state payroll processes and address state-specific requirements

Requirements:

Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing for over 500 employees
proficiency in multi-state payroll operations
hands-on experience with a payroll software
advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting
ability to manage high-volume payroll in a fast-paced environment
strong attention to detail and organizational skills
effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
familiarity with payroll compliance across multiple states
