We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. In this Contract to permanent position, you will manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance across multi-state operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a strong aptitude for problem-solving and working with Excel.
Job Responsibility:
Process full-cycle payroll for a multi-state workforce, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Upload and manage employee timesheets, verifying data and addressing discrepancies
Audit hours and payroll data, utilizing Excel for tasks such as v-lookups and data analysis
Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless payroll operations and provide support as needed
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Assist in transitioning manual payroll tasks to automated systems, contributing to process improvements
Utilize UKG to manage payroll for over 500 employees
Work closely with management to address payroll inquiries and resolve issues
Adapt to a hybrid work schedule following initial in-office training
Commit to extended work hours as required, particularly on Thursday evenings
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in payroll processing, preferably in multi-state operations
Proficiency in full-cycle payroll management
Strong skills in UKG and familiarity with payroll systems
Advanced Excel abilities, including v-lookups and data manipulation
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Willingness to adapt to changing processes and learn new systems
Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy
