Job Description:

Robert Half is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to assist local clients with their payroll needs. The ideal candidate has a strong background in payroll administration and is comfortable managing payroll systems, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and addressing payroll-related queries. The role requires knowledge of state and federal tax laws, along with technical skills to implement payroll best practices and maintain accurate payroll records.

Job Responsibility:

Processing payroll for employees in the company, including checks and transfers
updating employee payroll records as necessary, including changes in salary, benefits, tax withholdings and more
working closely with the Human Resources department to ensure accurate employee data
resolving payroll discrepancies through information collection and analysis
preparing and maintaining accurate reports and records of payroll transactions
ensuring compliance with state and federal tax laws and standards
addressing employee queries relating to payroll issues
implementing payroll best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
experience managing a company's payroll system
compliance with state and federal tax laws and standards
ability to resolve payroll discrepancies
strong background in payroll administration
legally authorized to work in the United States.
