Job Description

Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist for a contract with our client in Des Moines, IA. The ideal candidate should have substantial experience and a strong understanding of payroll procedures.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver timely and accurate processing and reconciliation of payroll, including paychecks, benefit deductions, taxes, and reporting
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll documentation and records
  • Assist with additional payroll-related functions such as HRIS input and report generation
  • Provide assistance to employees regarding all payroll-related inquiries in a timely manner
  • Coordinate closely with the HR department to ensure accurate payroll data
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding payroll

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with payroll software
  • Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive payroll information
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
