Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist for a contract with our client in Des Moines, IA. The ideal candidate should have substantial experience and a strong understanding of payroll procedures.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver timely and accurate processing and reconciliation of payroll, including paychecks, benefit deductions, taxes, and reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll documentation and records
Assist with additional payroll-related functions such as HRIS input and report generation
Provide assistance to employees regarding all payroll-related inquiries in a timely manner
Coordinate closely with the HR department to ensure accurate payroll data
Comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding payroll
Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with payroll software
Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive payroll information
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
