About the role (What you'll be doing): End-to-end payroll processing for multiple Australian payrolls in Employment Hero (KeyPay) including STP reports and submissions (approximately 220 people); Ensure superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workers’ Compensation is lodged in a compliant and timely manner; Ongoing maintenance of employee records: onboarding, offboarding, internal transfers and contract variations; Stay up to date with legislative and system updates (we have a membership with APA) and support training; Handle payroll queries professionally and efficiently; Support global payroll processing team as required; Conduct compliance reviews and identify areas for improvement; Develop, document and streamline payroll processes for Australia; Support ad hoc payroll projects as required
Job Responsibility

Requirements
Strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly in payroll accounting
Must have experience running end-to-end Australian payroll (4+ years' experience)
Excel or Google Sheets skills
experience with payroll software and databases
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Meticulous attention to detail, delivering accurate, high-quality work consistently
Strong time management, prioritisation, and multitasking skills
Effective communicator with a commitment to providing excellent customer service
Proven ability to meet deadlines within a team-oriented environment
Desire to improve process and enhance experience
Nice to have
Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems, Employment Hero, Deputy, or HiBob
Familiarity with multi-company payroll structures
Experience on payroll accounting or payroll analysis in Australia, APAC, or EMEA regions is a plus
Experience with award interpretation and experience administering options is not a must but an advantage
