Great opportunity for a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension (and permanent position) for a Payroll Specialist to join a large international company operating in the financial sector. Do you have in-depth knowledge of the entire Canadian payroll cycle and have managed payroll for a large number of employees? Job Responsibility

  • Manage the entire payroll cycle
  • Ensure payroll compliance with Canadian laws and regulations
  • Manage payroll deductions and government remittances
  • Produce payroll reports and tax returns
  • Answer employee questions regarding payroll
  • Maintain up-to-date payroll records
  • Participate in improving payroll processes
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with the complete Canadian payroll cycle for a large corporation of 2000+ employees
  • Experience working with a large payroll volume (minimum 1000 employees)
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now (a major asset)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (French and English)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
