Job Description:

The Payroll Specialist role involves overseeing payroll processing for a multi-state company, managing compliance with tax requirements, configuring payroll systems, auditing data, and addressing payroll inquiries, particularly for organizations with over 500 employees.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and manage payroll processing for multi-state operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance
configure and maintain payroll systems, including company setup, departmental structures, earnings codes, and auditing employee census data
handle payroll-related administrative tasks, such as processing mail and uploading documentation into systems
ensure compliance with tax requirements across multiple states and entities
manage garnishment services and technical aspects within ADP Workforce Now
conduct audits to verify payroll data integrity and resolve discrepancies
collaborate with different departments to ensure payroll accuracy and proper reporting
provide support for system improvements and troubleshooting within ADP Workforce Now
process payroll for over 500 employees and ensure proper record-keeping
address payroll inquiries and provide solutions in a timely manner

Requirements:

Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, including multi-state payroll
proficiency with ADP Workforce Now is essential
strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
ability to manage payroll for large organizations with over 500 employees
familiarity with handling garnishments and other payroll-related deductions
excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
effective problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve payroll discrepancies
strong communication skills for collaborating with internal departments and addressing employee inquiries
