Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist / Payroll Administrator to manage and process bi weekly payroll for approximately 250 employees. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, supporting compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and assisting with payroll-related reporting and employee inquiries. The ideal candidate will have prior payroll experience in a municipal or public sector environment and must have hands-on experience with Tyler Munis or other Tyler Technologies software.
Job Responsibility
Manage and process bi weekly payroll for approximately 250 employees
Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing
Maintaining payroll records
Supporting compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Assisting with payroll-related reporting and employee inquiries
Requirements
Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably in a city, municipal, or public sector environment
Experience processing payroll for a workforce of similar size
Required: Hands-on experience with Tyler Munis or other Tyler Technologies software
Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, garnishments, and deductions
Experience with payroll reconciliations, reporting, and recordkeeping
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications
High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
Strong communication and customer service skills
