We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in New York, New York. This hybrid role requires a detail-oriented individual with significant experience in managing payroll operations and ensuring compliance with regulations. You will play a key role in overseeing payroll processes while working closely with other departments to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
Job Responsibility:
Manage end-to-end payroll operations for employees, ensuring timely and accurate processing
Handle payroll for garnishments and other deductions in compliance with legal requirements
Utilize Workday software to execute payroll tasks and maintain records effectively
Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Maintain accurate documentation of payroll activities and employee records
Process payroll for a workforce ranging from 101 to 500 employees
Review and verify payroll reports for accuracy before submitting final payments
Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and implement necessary adjustments
Provide support during audits by preparing required payroll documentation
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required
A minimum of 3-5 years of payroll experience
over 5 years is preferred
Proficiency in Workday payroll software is mandatory
Strong knowledge of full-cycle payroll processes
Familiarity with handling payroll for garnishments and deductions
Experience managing payroll for mid-sized organizations (101-500 employees)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a hybrid environment with a Monday-Friday schedule
