We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Houston, Texas. This position involves managing payroll operations for a large workforce, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining accurate records. Job Responsibility

  • Process payroll for over 2,000 hourly and salaried employees using ADP Workforce Now
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining earnings, taxes, deductions, leave balances, and other payroll-related data
  • Ensure strict compliance with federal and state payroll regulations and company policies
  • Respond to inquiries and provide timely resolutions to payroll-related questions
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll documentation
  • Reconcile employee deductions and other payroll liabilities to maintain accurate financial records
  • Verify and manage source documents for payroll processing to ensure accuracy
  • Generate and distribute weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reports for department heads
  • Safeguard confidential payroll information and uphold employee confidentiality
  • Maintain organized and accurate payroll records, including data entry and calculations

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of payroll administration experience
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is required
  • Experience processing payroll for 1,000+ employees, including hourly, salaried, and union payrolls
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
