Job Responsibility:
Process semi monthly payroll for staff, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
Maintain payroll records and employee data in accordance with statutory requirements and internal policies
Respond to payroll inquiries from employees, providing clear and helpful support
Prepare and submit payroll-related tax filings and reports (federal, state, and local)
Reconcile payroll data and assist with audits as needed
Coordinate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless workflow for new hires, terminations, and changes
Uphold confidentiality and data security at all times
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a nonprofit or multi-department environment
Proficiency with payroll software systems
experience with platforms such as ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, or similar
Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations and wage and hour laws
Strong Excel and data entry skills
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
High attention to detail and analytical thinking
Effective communication skills and a collaborative attitude
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
