Robert Half seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist with strong expertise in ADP Workforce Now to join our team. This is a direct hire position that sits on site full-time in Jessup, MD. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and delivering accurate and timely payroll services to employees.
Job Responsibility:
Process full-cycle, multi-state payroll using ADP Workforce Now
Maintain and audit employee payroll records, including earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Reconcile payroll reports, general ledger accounts, and benefit deductions
Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on employee data changes, benefits administration, and reporting
Prepare and file payroll tax reports and assist with year-end processes (W-2s, audits, etc.)
Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization within ADP Workforce Now
Requirements:
3+ years of payroll processing experience, with a strong focus on ADP Workforce Now
Ideally someone who has processed for around 500 employees
Experience with benefits administration a big plus
Solid understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
