Job Description:

Join a growing, non-automotive company as a Payroll Specialist. This role involves processing payroll, maintaining records, ensuring accurate tax and benefits deductions, reconciling payroll, and collaborating with HR and accounting. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of payroll experience, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records
  • Ensure accurate tax and benefits deductions
  • Reconcile payroll with the general ledger and monthly bank statements
  • Handle payroll adjustments, direct deposits, and reissued checks
  • File federal and state payroll taxes
  • Collaborate with HR and accounting
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of direct payroll processing experience with systems like Paycor, Paylocity, ADP, UKG, Paychex, or similar platforms
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Prior experience performing payroll reconciliations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
