We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with strong expertise in Workday to manage and process end-to-end payroll operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing while maintaining confidentiality and delivering excellent internal customer service.
Job Responsibility:
Process full-cycle payroll using Workday for [weekly/biweekly/semi-monthly] payrolls across multiple states
Maintain and audit employee payroll records, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and company policies
Reconcile payroll data, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly
Manage payroll-related reporting, including tax filings, year-end reporting (W-2s), and audits
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy (new hires, terminations, compensation changes)
Support system updates, testing, and enhancements within Workday Payroll
Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and deductions in a timely and professional manner
Maintain documentation and internal controls for payroll processes
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5+ years of payroll experience, with at least 2+ years using Workday Payroll
Strong understanding of multi-state payroll processing and compliance requirements
Experience with payroll tax filings, garnishments, and benefits deductions
