Job Description:

Robert Half is partnering with a dynamic and growing organization to find an experienced Payroll Processor. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring employees are compensated accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with payroll regulations. Job Responsibility:

  • Process semi-monthly, biweekly, or weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain payroll records, including wage adjustments, benefit deductions, and tax withholding
  • Review and reconcile payroll reports to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • Respond promptly to employee inquiries about payroll, deductions, or tax issues
  • Assist with annual reporting requirements, including W-2 and 1099 processing
  • Calculate and process bonuses, overtime, and commissions where applicable
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate onboarding of employee information
  • Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations, including applicable state or regional requirements
  • Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors or agencies when necessary

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
  • 2+ years of payroll experience
  • experience with multi-state payroll (or construction-specific payroll) a plus
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday, or QuickBooks)
  • advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with federal and state payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements
  • Strong organizational skills

  • ability to handle sensitive employee data with confidentiality
