Job Description:

Reporting to the Payroll and Benefits Manager within our US Human Resources Shared Services team, the Payroll Partner plays a pivotal role in advancing our payroll operations by overseeing day to day payroll activities for both the United States and Canada. This position ensures that all employees are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining full compliance with payroll related regulations. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, highly analytical, and deeply knowledgeable in payroll processes, systems, and compliance requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee and manage all recurring payroll activities for the US and Canada, ensuring seamless execution across multiple payroll companies and configurations
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for approximately 2,000 employees, maintaining precision and consistency across diverse pay groups and systems
  • Verify and reconcile payroll data, including timekeeping records, tax withholdings, and benefit deductions, ensuring accuracy and completeness prior to each payroll cycle
  • Prepare, review, and submit all required payroll reports and filings, including tax submissions, audits, and year‑end reporting, ensuring full compliance and transparency
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local payroll regulations, proactively monitoring legislative changes and adjusting processes accordingly
  • Address and resolve payroll‑related inquiries and escalations from employees and management, delivering timely, accurate, and customer‑focused support
  • Collaborate closely with HR, Benefits, and Finance teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll data and alignment across interconnected processes
  • Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of payroll/GL file feeds, partnering with Finance to maintain data integrity and reconciliation
  • Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance payroll efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
  • Stay current with evolving payroll laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance and operational readiness
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, supporting knowledge transfer, cross‑training, and operational continuity
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for ADP Workforce Now, with deep expertise in Payroll and Time & Attendance modules to optimize system performance
  • Leverage ADP and other software solutions to streamline workflows, reduce processing time, and enhance overall payroll effectiveness
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the Payroll function, building on existing strengths and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Utilize reporting and analytics to identify trends, diagnose issues, and recommend enhancements to payroll processes and controls
  • Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and government agencies, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution
  • Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned, contributing to broader HR Shared Services initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing and management
  • Strong proficiency in/knowledge of Payroll software, preferably ADP Workforce Now
  • Strong proficiency in/knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong proficiency in/knowledge of Payroll laws and regulations (USA and Canada)

Nice to have:

  • FCP or CPP certification
  • Experience working in Payroll and Time & Attendance modules in ADP Workforce Now
  • Experience working with ServiceNow or other similar ticketing system
