Job Responsibility

  • Take ownership of the payroll process by reviewing payroll and direct payment reports to ensure accurate and timely employee payments
  • Maintain and update payroll system data, ensuring all employee records are accurate, compliant, and up to date
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for payroll queries, providing clear advice and solutions to employees and key stakeholders
  • Process payments through online banking platforms with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by supporting employees with payroll-related enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Conduct regular audits of annual leave, personal leave, and long service leave in line with relevant legislation and agreements
  • Manage complex payroll transactions, including back pays, Lump Sum E payments, and superannuation adjustments

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a high-volume payroll environment
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, legislation, compliance requirements, awards and agreements
  • Experience using payroll systems such as PayGlobal and UKG Pro T&A, or similar
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with payroll data
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach when supporting employees and stakeholders
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to team knowledge and continuous improvement
