Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to join a leading Aged Care provider based in the heart of Adelaide CBD. This is a critical role ensuring our hardworking frontline staff are paid accurately and on time. Initially offered as a full time temporary contract, this position has a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent role for a candidate who demonstrates excellence and a great cultural fit.

Job Responsibility:

  • End to end processing of weekly and fortnightly payroll for a diverse workforce
  • Interpretation and application of complex Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
  • Responding to payroll queries from staff and management with a customer-service mindset
  • Assisting with month-end reporting and superannuation reconciliations

Requirements:

  • Award Expertise: Demonstrated experience or a very strong working knowledge of Modern Awards
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in Aged Care, Health, or NDIS environments is highly regarded
  • Systems Savvy: Proficiency in mid to large scale payroll software and Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to Detail: A right first time approach to data entry and calculations
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration
  • National Police Clearance

Nice to have:

Experience in Aged Care or Disability industry an advantage
