Our client is a NSW government organisation based in Blacktown. They are currently seeking a Payroll Administrator to come in and work with them on a temp contract until 31st July 2026.
Job Responsibility
Timesheet & Cost Allocation: Encode timesheets and allocate hours to correct cost codes based on Supervisor advice
Payroll Verification & Compliance: Verify and correct check payrolls to ensure compliance with Enterprise Agreements, Flexibility Agreements, and Council policies
Data Entry & Master File Maintenance: Prepare and input payroll and master file entries accurately into the system
Reconciliation & Adjustments: Reconcile the weekly payroll, prepare payroll vouchers, and review adjustment and termination pay calculations
Query & Correspondence Handling: Provide prompt, professional responses to all internal and external payroll inquiries and correspondence
Reporting & Compliance: Complete and submit required statistical returns within designated timeframes
Operational Support: Manage volunteers (if required) and perform other directed duties consistent with Council operations
Requirements
Experience in and knowledge of payroll operations or a Certificate in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Finance or Business Administration
Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
Demonstrated knowledge of payroll systems
