Job Description

The Opportunity: Butler Rose are partnered with a friendly, professional firm who are seeking to appoint a Payroll Officer in the Liverpool area to work on a part-time 4 or 5 day (30hrs) basis. Responsible for managing payroll processes accurately and efficiently, running payrolls via Moneysoft both weekly and monthly for multiple sites for up to 100 employees. Software training can be provided. Working as part of a small team you will take overall responsibility for running both small and large payrolls at multiple intervals both weekly and monthly. You should be experienced payroll professional running multiple payrolls within an inhouse/practice or bureau environment. This is a great opportunity to work in an autonomous role offering part time work/life balance with the support of a colleague.

  • Running payroll both weekly and monthly via Moneysoft (training provided)
  • Holiday pay calculations

  • Maintaining up-to-date payroll legislation knowledge/payroll journals
  • Building strong relationships both over the telephone and email

Requirements

  • Proven payroll experience within an inhouse/practice or Bureau environment
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance
  • Experience using Moneysoft (preferred)
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Professional and confident communicating with HMRC, payroll queries, colleagues etc

  • Guiding the supporting Payroll Officer with tax tracking for the internationally mobile population on the DiveOps payroll
  • Receives and reviews payroll records from varying sources (including Onboard Tracker) ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations within the appropriate jurisdiction
  • Adhering to legislative and company timescales for the submission of payroll data to all relevant stakeholders, being mindful of overseas time differences and national holidays
  • Handling a variety of payroll transactions for new employees (both foreign and UK nationals), retirements, terminations, changes to salaries, benefits, taxes, salary sacrifices, deductions, accruals etc
  • Where necessary, supporting the Payroll Manager with foreign tax calculations
  • Maintaining and monitoring the integrity of data in systems and from sources that are integrated or interfaced with the payrolling process
