Job Description:

This 8 month fixed term contract Payroll Officer role provides you with the opportunity to work as part of a collaborative and supportive payroll team, working for a high performing and well known FMCG company based in Sydney Olympic Park. You will report into an experienced, warm and engaging Payroll Manager and will be offered excellent opportunities to assist with payroll projects too, outside of BAU.

Job Responsibility:

End to end payroll processing for 2,000 + employees on a weekly & fortnightly basis using Chris21
Ensure compliance and adherence to all relevant industry awards and stay up to day with any changes to legislation
Preparation of monthly payroll reports and end of year processing
Preparation and payment of all State and Federal tax obligations including PAYG tax, Payroll tax, Superannuation Guarantee contributions
Managing superannuation, leave entitlement and payments
Liaise with ATO on any issues
Answering all payroll queries from internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

3+ years of previous experience processing end to end payroll
Knowledge and experience using Chris21 and/ or Dayforce is highly regarded but not essential to the role
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
Ability to interpret awards and legislation
Being able to operate with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential
