We are looking for a skilled Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for a large team in Johnston, Iowa. This contract position involves managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating closely with organizational leaders. The role requires adaptability, a proactive approach, and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely payroll services.
Job Responsibility:
Manage bi-weekly payroll processing for approximately 2,500 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Oversee the finalization of payroll after initial processing by individual communities
Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to payroll
Collaborate with directors and leadership teams to maintain clear communication on payroll matters
Supervise and support a Payroll Specialist, providing guidance and leadership
Address challenges in payroll operations with a solution-oriented mindset and adaptability
Take full ownership of the payroll process, ensuring smooth operations and resolving issues effectively
Continuously learn and grow within the role to enhance payroll expertise and efficiency
Requirements:
Extensive experience in payroll management, including full-cycle payroll processes
Demonstrated ability to manage payroll for large teams, preferably over 500 employees
Expertise in using UKG or similar payroll systems
Strong understanding of payroll compliance and regulatory requirements
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively
Proven track record of adaptability and problem-solving in a dynamic environment
