Payroll Manager

• Manage comprehensive payroll operations for bi-weekly and monthly cycles, ensuring accuracy for all employees
• Lead and mentor a team of payroll professionals, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as organizational policies and industry best practices
• Oversee payroll reporting, audits, and reconciliations to maintain accurate records for internal and external use
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to streamline payroll processes and address discrepancies
• Evaluate and enhance payroll systems and software to improve efficiency and reliability
• Provide training and guidance to university departments regarding payroll procedures and regulatory updates
• Support compensation planning, budgeting efforts, and special payroll-related projects as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• A minimum of 10 years of payroll experience, with prior management experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge of payroll regulations, compliance standards, and reporting requirements
• Proficiency in multi-state and international payroll processes
• Experience working with payroll systems Workday and ADP
• Strong analytical abilities combined with excellent communication and leadership skills
• Certified Payroll designation is preferred
