We are looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania. This is a long-term contractor position offering an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented payroll specialist to manage multi-state and union payroll operations. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in payroll systems and compliance, with the ability to handle complex payroll tasks efficiently.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee multi-state payroll processes, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations and timely execution
Manage union payroll operations, including hourly and salaried employees, with a focus on accuracy and prevailing wage requirements
Process payroll for a fluctuating employee count ranging from 10 to 100, adapting to weekly changes
Handle new employee paperwork and ensure onboarding payroll steps are completed seamlessly
Administer garnishments and other payroll deductions in accordance with legal guidelines
Ensure accurate payroll calculations for both bi-monthly and project-based wages
Utilize payroll software, such as Paychex, to streamline operations and maintain records
Collaborate with management on payroll-related reporting and analysis
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Address and resolve payroll discrepancies or employee inquiries promptly
Requirements:
Proven experience managing full-cycle payroll processes, preferably in a multi-state environment
Familiarity with union payroll systems and prevailing wage calculations
Proficiency with payroll software, such as Paychex, and other related tools
Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, including garnishments and deductions
Ability to handle payroll for varying employee counts with accuracy and efficiency
Experience processing bi-monthly payroll and reporting
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for employee and management interactions
