Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for a large healthcare organization in Neptune, New Jersey. This position requires a meticulous individual with strong technical expertise in payroll systems and compliance regulations. As this is a long-term contract role, the ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of managing complex payroll processes while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage full-cycle payroll operations for over 44,000 employees in a healthcare setting, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Perform detailed retroactive payroll calculations and audits as required, adhering strictly to wage and hour regulations
  • Handle payroll system integrations and troubleshoot vendor interface issues to maintain seamless functionality
  • Utilize ADP Workforce Now and PeopleSoft systems to administer payroll activities effectively
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations, including FMLA and FLSA requirements
  • Collaborate with HR to address payroll-related inquiries and provide technical support
  • Oversee garnishments, tax payments, and wage disbursements using Smart Compliance integrations
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all payroll activities
  • Conduct audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures
  • Support organizational payroll projects, including retroactive adjustments and compliance initiatives

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing payroll operations in a large-scale organization
  • Expertise in multi-state payroll processes and compliance standards
  • Advanced knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, PeopleSoft HR, and payroll systems
  • Proven ability to manage payroll for organizations with over 500 employees
  • Strong understanding of FMLA, FLSA, and other applicable labor laws
  • Certification in payroll systems and processes is highly desirable
  • Technical proficiency in troubleshooting payroll system issues and vendor integrations
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in payroll management
