We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and manage payroll operations for a mid-sized organization in Bethesda, Maryland. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with multi-state tax regulations and labor laws. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with expertise in full-cycle payroll and proficiency in Sage 300.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the end-to-end payroll process for approximately 200 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Process bi-weekly payroll cycles, including salary adjustments, new hires, terminations, and benefit changes
Oversee multi-state tax submissions for DC, Maryland, and Virginia, ensuring all filings are accurate and timely
Utilize Sage 300 software to sync timekeeping data from HH2 and Criterion systems for payroll processing
Monitor and review employee timekeeping data to ensure proper synchronization and accuracy
Handle expense reimbursements and ensure proper documentation and compliance
Upload bi-weekly payroll files to the bank and verify successful processing
Ensure payroll systems accurately calculate taxes, deductions, and payments
Stay updated on relevant labor laws and tax regulations to maintain compliance
Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues
Requirements:
Proven experience in managing full-cycle payroll for mid-sized organizations
Proficiency in ERP systems
Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll tax regulations, particularly in DC, Maryland, and Virginia
Ability to process bi-weekly payroll with accuracy and efficiency
Expertise in handling payroll for organizations with 100-500 employees
Attention to detail and ability to manage complex payroll data
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams
Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
