Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to join our client in Chicago, Illinois. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to oversee payroll operations and contribute to the success of cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in payroll systems, project management, and international payroll processing.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and manage payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing for all employees
Utilize ADP WorkforceNow to generate and analyze reports, as well as navigate SmartCompliance for tax-related tasks
Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule
Manage international payroll processing, including compliance with taxation regulations in various regions
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and improve operational workflows
Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and international payroll laws and standards
Provide guidance and support to team members on payroll-related matters
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance payroll efficiency
Prepare and present payroll reports to leadership to facilitate decision-making.

Requirements:

Proven experience with ADP WorkforceNow and SmartCompliance, including report generation and navigation
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and drive multiple initiatives
Hands-on experience in managing international payroll processes and understanding global taxation requirements
Comprehensive knowledge of payroll laws and regulations at federal, state, and international levels
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in resolving payroll-related issues
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments
Ability to identify and implement process improvements within payroll operations.
