We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations for a growing organization in Southborough, Massachusetts. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while driving process improvements and supporting a high-performing payroll function.
Job Responsibility
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees across multiple pay groups
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Oversee payroll audits, reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processes
Maintain payroll records and ensure data accuracy in payroll systems
Partner with Human Resources, Finance, and leadership on payroll-related matters
Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely manner
Identify and implement payroll process improvements and internal controls
Supervise and mentor payroll staff as needed
Requirements
5+ years of payroll experience, including leadership or management responsibilities
Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
Experience with payroll systems such as Workday or ADP
Proficiency in payroll reporting, reconciliations, and internal accounting controls
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred
