We are looking for an experienced and driven Payroll Manager to lead and enhance the payroll operations for a well-established healthcare organization. This role requires an individual with a strong background in payroll systems, compliance, and team leadership, who can embrace technological advancements and process improvements. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise and mentor a team of 5 payroll specialists to ensure efficient and accurate payroll operations
Oversee payroll processing for the organization, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and labor regulations
Collaborate closely with HR and Finance departments to align compensation policies, benefits deductions, and reporting practices
Review, audit, and approve payroll reports and reconciliations for accuracy and completeness
Maintain and optimize payroll systems, recommending and implementing software upgrades as needed
Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries, discrepancies, and concerns in a timely manner
Ensure timely submission of payroll-related filings and reports to regulatory agencies
Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance
Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices to keep the organization compliant
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in accounting, finance, or a related field
A minimum of six years of progressive payroll experience, including at least three years in a management role
Experience working in healthcare industry
Proficiency with the Workday Payroll module is required
Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective collaboration and problem-solving
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with experience in integrated accounting software
