We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee the payroll operations for a multi-state organization based in Wayne, New Jersey. This contract position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in managing payroll for large employee groups and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The role offers a hybrid work schedule, combining remote and onsite work.
Job Responsibility:
Manage full-cycle payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timely execution for over 500 employees
Administer payroll across multiple states, adhering to varying state-specific regulations and tax requirements
Utilize ADP Workforce Now to process payroll and maintain employee records
Collaborate closely with the HR department to address payroll-related queries and ensure alignment with organizational policies
Review and verify payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, and benefits
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
Generate and analyze payroll reports to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions
Stay updated on payroll best practices and legislative changes to maintain compliance
Support audits and reporting requirements by providing detailed payroll documentation
Requirements:
Proven experience in full-cycle payroll management
Expertise in handling payroll for multi-state organizations
Familiarity with processing payroll for over 500 employees
Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software
Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance standards
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with employees and HR staff
