We’re seeking a Payroll Manager to drive our payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and stellar service for all employees. This is a pivotal role with real impact, offering opportunities to modernize processes and develop a high-performing team.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and mentor the payroll team
Oversee the entire payroll lifecycle for multiple employee groups
Streamline workflows, automate processes, and enhance internal controls
Partner with HR, Benefits, and Finance to ensure alignment
Stay current on wage and hour laws, tax rules, and audit standards
Serve as the primary contact for payroll matters with internal/external stakeholders
Identify and implement best practices and technology enhancements
Partner with HR and Finance to deliver insightful reporting and exceptional support
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
5+ years of hands-on payroll experience
at least 2 years of supervisory or management background
Robust knowledge of payroll regulations, tax rules, and wage-and-hour laws
Familiarity with major payroll and HRIS systems (preferably UKG)
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proactive problem-solving mindset
Nice to have:
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification
Experience with multi-state payroll or complex organizational structures
Track record in leading process redesign/automation initiatives
