As the Payroll Manager at Heidi Health, you will play a pivotal role in owning the accuracy, reliability and scalability of our global payroll function while partnering closely with our Finance and People teams and our external providers. You will oversee end-to-end payroll delivery across all regions, payroll governance, compliance and the implementation of modern payroll tools and processes, enabling Heidi to scale with confidence. You will lead the coordination of payroll across multiple countries and third party providers, ensuring high-quality outcomes, strong controls and a great employee experience. You will also collaborate cross-functionally to streamline data flows, implement automation and support Heidi’s rapid expansion into new markets. Job Responsibility:
Own end-to-end Australian and global payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely processing and compliance with all reporting obligations
Manage and hold outsourced payroll providers, EORs and in-country partners to account, driving service excellence, issue resolution and continuous improvement
Lead major payroll transformation projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and harmonization initiatives
Partner closely with the People team to ensure payroll-critical data is accurately captured in the HRIS and to drive ongoing improvements to data quality, structure and upstream processes that feed payroll
Drive simplification and automation, reducing manual inputs, improving data flows and embedding standardised approvals and controls
Develop global payroll policies, frameworks and SOPs to support new country launches and rapid headcount growth
Provide trusted reporting and insights on headcount, employment costs, taxes and payroll metrics to Finance, People and leadership
Partner with Finance, People and Legal leaders to advise on payroll implications of policy changes, international hiring and strategic decisions
Requirements:
Proven experience running Australian and multi-country payroll operations at scale
Strong working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation
Strong expertise in payroll compliance, governance and global payroll transformation
Proven ability to drive automation, process improvement and scalable operating models
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to work with senior leaders
Practical, solutions-oriented mindset suited to fast-moving, high-growth environments
