Job Description

We’re partnering with a client seeking a Payroll & HR Specialist to support a team of 50+ employees. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented who enjoys owning payroll while also contributing across key HR functions like onboarding, benefits, and employee support.

Job Responsibility

  • Process weekly payroll accurately and on time, including wages, bonuses, stipends, and time off using ADP
  • Maintain and update employee records (pay rates, tax withholdings, direct deposits, etc.)
  • Manage payroll deductions, including taxes and benefits
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Partner with leadership to ensure alignment between payroll, timekeeping, and employee data
  • Serve as a go-to resource for employee questions related to payroll and benefits
  • Administer benefits programs (medical, dental, 403(b), life, disability, COBRA, etc.)
  • Reconcile benefit invoices and ensure accurate deductions
  • Support onboarding and general HR administration
  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee records
  • Ensure compliance with HR-related regulations (FMLA, ACA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.)

Requirements

  • 3+ years of payroll and HR experience
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance
  • Experience with systems such as ADP (or similar platforms)
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables)
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • CPP certification is a plus
