We’re partnering with a client seeking a Payroll & HR Specialist to support a team of 50+ employees. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented who enjoys owning payroll while also contributing across key HR functions like onboarding, benefits, and employee support.
Job Responsibility:
Process weekly payroll accurately and on time, including wages, bonuses, stipends, and time off using ADP
Maintain and update employee records (pay rates, tax withholdings, direct deposits, etc.)
Manage payroll deductions, including taxes and benefits
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Partner with leadership to ensure alignment between payroll, timekeeping, and employee data
Serve as a go-to resource for employee questions related to payroll and benefits
Administer benefits programs (medical, dental, 403(b), life, disability, COBRA, etc.)
Reconcile benefit invoices and ensure accurate deductions
Support onboarding and general HR administration
Maintain accurate, confidential employee records
Ensure compliance with HR-related regulations (FMLA, ACA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.)
Requirements:
3+ years of payroll and HR experience
Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance
Experience with systems such as ADP (or similar platforms)
Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables)
Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
CPP certification is a plus
